Hey everybody, after taking our July vacation, those purveyors of quality roots music in East Texas since 2001, the Pineknot Music Co-Op is back on stage Friday August 24th with another top notch show. This month show will feature a trio of new acts for this year and we are very excited to get it going! As always we will be conducting our on going food drive for the Nacogdoches Women's Shelter so please bring a non perishable food item. We would also like to thank our terrific sponsors, Morning Glory Natural Foods, Java Jacks Coffee House, North East Hills Apts., and Piney Forest Products.
Carlos Lamkin 8p-8:30p - New to the Pineknot stage Carlos will be performing set of original songs along with some choice cover in the old school folk vein. He will also have vocalist Kim Soli joining in.
Silent Sounds 8:45p-9:30p - Silent Sounds is the new project of friend of the Pineknot Adam Lamar. This outfit swims in the ocean of atmospheric instrumental music and it sounds very intriguing.
Darren Kobetich 9:45p- 10:30p - Darren wowed us last year with his fine instrumental guitar playing and we are excited to have him back. He will be performing all original compositions influenced by instrumental guitar masters Leo Kotke and the late great John Fahey.

Millard's Crossing is a
charming, reconstructed historic village situated on the north side of Nacogdoches,
Texas.
This remarkable museum complex is named for the railroad track that
once crossed through the Millard family property and now borders the
north side of the village. Established by the late Lera Millard Thomas, the Village
comprises a broad sampling of the 19th century East
Texas architecture from simple log cabins to
Victorian homes. All of the structures were moved from their original
sites, restored and are furnished with Mrs. Thomas's widely eclectic
collection of antiques. In 2007 the Village was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization run by
a local board. All of your donations
are tax deductible.
